Questions? hello@freebird.fm

Common questions

Do my guests need an app?

No. Scanning the QR opens a regular web page in their phone's browser. No download, no account, no sign-in — requesting a song takes about ten seconds.

How do the tips work?

Tips go straight to your own Venmo, PayPal, or Cash App — guests tip you the way they already know how. We never hold your money and we don't take a cut (though those apps may charge their own processing fees).

What does it cost?

Nothing right now — freebird.fm is free while it's in beta, with every feature open and no card required. We'll give beta performers plenty of notice before that ever changes.

Do I have to play every request?

No — it's your set. Requests line up in a queue on your phone and you decide what to play and when. Skip anything that doesn't fit the room.

What do I need at the gig?

Your phone and one printed QR code. Tape it to your tip jar, your merch table, or a mic stand — anywhere guests can see it. Nothing to plug in, no tech crew.
